Cliff Redd

Cliff Redd, Executive Director for the Long Center spoke to the Bootstrap Art Subgroup. The Long Center will not only house the symphony, ballet and opera; it will also include many performance disciplines and bring together the diverse Austin arts community. Unlike other similar projects around the country, the center is funded solely from private donors. The City of Austin has assisted by providing a 50yr renewable lease of the land.

Art Critic Till Richter

On February 5, local art critic Till Richter joined the Bootstrap Art Subgroup to give his insights into how one might get the attention of art critics and publications, and what it takes to become a successful artist at the international level.  One of the key points Till made is that regardless of what level of success you wish to achieve, you must decide what that is, and make a determined effort to reach that goal.  Listen to our podcast to hear more of Till’s insights and suggestions.
